Welcome to Lavant Players
We are an active amateur group based in the village of Lavant, a mile north of Chichester in the English county of West Sussex. Our activities are geared to performing an annual all-age community production in January of each year; typically there will 30-40 cast members and a similar number of people supporting behind the scenes. We also have a second production in the autumn in a different format - a "Murder Mystery" supper evening. We are friendly group and always welcome new members. Our productions take place in the Lavant Memorial Hall; the location of the hall is shown in the map towards the bottom of this page.
New Autumn 2021 Activities Start 6 September
We hope that we'll be seeing many of you this coming Monday 6 September at the Lavant Memorial Hall. Our Autumn programme starts with a play reading led by well known local director Barry Jarvis. The session starts promptly at 8.30pm in the main hall but do arrive from 8pm so we can have a chat beforehand and importantly sort out your membership for the new season [£10 for adults & £1 for children]; note at the moment we can only accept payment by cash or cheque.
Meanwhile earlier in the evening [from 7pm] the young members of our society will start their first read through of our Murder Mystery "Who 'Dumped' Humpty?" in the Bleach's Room.
