  • Our next Murder Mystery takes place on Saturday 12 October 2013; here is a synopsis:It’s lights, camera, action… and murder!! Award-winning actor Fred Kellett plans to leave the struggling northern soap opera ‘Ravenscar’ for a starring role in a Hollywood blockbuster. But his big ‘send-off’ is not quite as rehearsed!! Frederick Kellett plays ‘Solomon Wainwright’ in the cheesy, northern soap-opera ‘Ravenscar’. Fred is the longest serving and most highly acclaimed actor amongst the cast. When he plans to leave for Hollywood, however, all manner of bitterness, jealousy and intrigue are unearthed. And when he dies sitting on his barstool in ‘the Black Bull’ pub shooting his final episode, there’s uproar! So who’s been tampering with the props, who harbours resentment… and why now?? When Inspector Wescott (and the inept Gilly Foreshore from ‘Star Spangled’ magazine) arrive to investigate a hideous murder is uncovered! But who would actually stoop so low as to kill the soap star? Could it be… Ambitious, Mary Makepeace, who plays the tenacious Black Bull landlady ‘Sandy Beeches’…

  • Alan Battersby, who plays ‘Rupert Barratt-Holmes’ the swarthy, pompous landowner…

  • Hilda Kensington, the village busybody…

  • Trixie Spangle, the glamorous barmaid who gets by on her looks rather than her talent…

  • Naïve Sebastian Warren, who plays ‘Chad Denver’ the village heart-throb…

  • Giles Stanton, the over-sensitive scriptwriter... or…

  • Florence White, the headstrong director with a colourful past?

The British soap-watching public are (as usual) glued to their televisions to find out the results!!
